Child Mind Institute Auction

On February 28th, 2013, Stephanie Seymour Brant, Peter Brant, Brooke Garber Neidich, Daniel Neidich, and the Child Mind Institute Board of Directors joined together for a once in a lifetime auction of great art to benefit great science at Sotheby's. Read more

Bronxville High School

On November 29th, a group of talented AP Art History students from Bronxville High School visited the Brant Foundation. As an Art Study Center, The Brant Foundation has made it a mission to reach out to as many educational institutions as possible, serving as a platform for scholarly study. The students from Bronxville High School will each complete an exhibition review that will be a permanent contribution to The Brant Foundation library. Read more

2012 Greenwich Preservation Award

The Brant Foundation, Inc. is pleased to be presented with a “2012 Greenwich Preservation Award” as part of the 81st Annual Meeting of the Greenwich Historical Society. Greenwich Preservation Awards celebrate the architectural heritage and honor individuals, organizations and projects of historical and architectural significance that demonstrate the aesthetic, cultural of economic benefits of preservation. This year, The Brant Foundation is among the honorees “ for adaptive use of the stone barn as Art Study Center.”

Manhattan Apparel Project

The Manhattan Apparel Project is a social fashion brand that aims to bring art education to local youth regardless of background, means, or gender. All of the workshops are completely free of charge and funded through sales of the Manhattan Apparel line of clothing. Led by emerging and established artists and designers, the workshops explore a variety of different styles and media as influenced by each guest artist. This past July, the Brant Foundation hosted a workshop influenced by the work of Karen Kilimnik.

The Brant Foundation is pleased to announce a major exhibition of works by Karen Kilimnik opening on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at The Brant Foundation Art Study Center. The exhibition will include installation, paintings, photographs and drawings from the years 1982 – 2012. These works reference subjects as seemingly disparate as witchcraft, Napoleon, World War II, set design, the solar system, magic and equestrian themes. Read more
