On November 10, 2015 in New York City, Montblanc honored Peter M. Brant for the 24th Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award. Peter Brant will now join the prestigious history of Montblanc de la Culture. Previous winners are giants in their field, including Yoko Ono, HRH Charles Prince of Wales, Jane Rosenthal, Sanford I. Flux, a solo exhibition by artist, David Altmejd, conceived and organized by Paris Musées / Musée d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and supported by The Brant Foundation Art Study Center and Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York opens October 10th, 2015 at Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris. The Brant Foundation Art Study Center welcomed Putman Indian Field School this past December during our Julian Schnabel exhibition. The PIFS students enjoyed an educational tour of Schnabel's works followed by a workshop. On Thursday, Septmeber 12th, The Brant Foundation Art Study Center hosted 22 students from the Side By Side School in collaboration with the Westport Arts Center's Connections Program. The students explored key themes in the Andy Warhol exhibition. After their visit, the students worked with teaching artist Sarah Kelly to create works of art inspired by their visit and the works of art they studied. Read more

The Manhattan Apparel Project is a social fashion brand that aims to bring art education to local youth regardless of background, means, or gender. All of the workshops are completely free of charge and funded through sales of the Manhattan Apparel line of clothing. Led by emerging and established artists and designers, the workshops explore a variety of different styles and media as influenced by each guest artist. This past July, the Brant Foundation hosted a workshop influenced by the work of Karen Kilimnik.
